Voice actors Kana Hanazawa and Kensho Ono announced on Sunday that they have divorced after five years of marriage. The announcement was made through a joint statement shared on Hanazawa's Instagram and Ono's X (formerly Twitter) account. In their message, the two explained that they have decided to divorce after many discussions, citing differences in their daily schedules, "It became difficult to spend time together as a couple, and as the distance between us grew, we chose to respect one another and walk separate paths." They continued, "We deeply apologize for having to share this kind of news with everyone who has warmly supported us. Moving forward, we will both continue to devote ourselves to our work more than ever, and we would be grateful for your continued support." Hanazawa and Ono, both prominent figures in the anime industry, announced their marriage in July 2020. Ono is widely known for voicing Giorno Giovanna in JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind), Tetsuya Kuroko in Kuroko no Basket (Kuroko's Basketball), Mikaela Hyakuya in Owari no Seraph (Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign), and Slaine Troyrad in Aldnoah.Zero. He is also well known for playing Harry Potter in the films' Japanese dub. Hanazawa is known for roles such as Nadeko Sengoku in Monogatari Series, Kanade Tachibana in Angel Beats!, Anri Sonohara in Durarara!!, and Mayuri Shiina in Steins;Gate. She debuted as a singer with the Hoshizora Destination single in 2012.
