Anime Adaptation of 'Buchigire Reijou wa Houfuku wo Chikaimashita.' Light Novel in Progress

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of HJ Novels announced an anime adaptation of Metabo Hagure's Buchigire Reijou wa Houfuku wo Chikaimashita. Madousho no Chikara de Sokoku wo Tatakitsubushimasu (A Livid Lady's Guide to Getting Even: How I Crushed My Homeland with My Mighty Grimoires) novel on Monday. Hagure began penning the fantasy drama novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2020. Hobby Japan began publishing the novel in May 2022, featuring illustrations by Masami (Kanpekisugite Kawaige ga Nai to Konyaku Haki sareta Seijo wa Ringoku ni Urareru). The seventh volume went on sale on Tuesday, which also featured the anime announcement on its wraparound band (pictured right). Oonoimo began drawing a manga adaptation in Comic Fire in May 2022. Hobby Japan published the seventh volume on April 1, with the eighth volume scheduled for a September 1 release. J-Novel Club licensed the manga and light novel for digital release in English in November 2023 and January 2024, respectively. The sixth novel volume was released on May 21, and the fourth manga volume was published on June 4. Synopsis Elizabeth Leiston, the daughter of Haldoria's powerful prime minister, is the picture of a refined noble lady and the perfect future queen. But when her fiancé publicly humiliates her, calls off their engagement, and starts spreading nasty rumors about her, Elizabeth reaches her breaking point.
