The official website of the Ansatsu Kyoushitsu (Assassination Classroom) anime series revealed new cast for the upcoming movie, subtitled Minna no Jikan on Monday. The film, adapting Yuusei Matsui's comedy action manga will premiere in theaters in Japan on March 20, 2026. Masaki Kitamura (Kidou Senshi Gundam 00 assistant director) is directing the movie at Lerche. Makoto Uezu (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!) is penning the script and Aya Higami (Houkago Shounen Hanako-kun) is designing the characters. Matsui serialized the original manga in Weekly Shounen Jump from July 2012 to April 2016. Shueisha published the 21st and final volume in July 2016. The first anime season aired in 22 episodes in Winter 2015, followed by the 25-episode second season in Winter 2016. A special episode screened at the Jump Super Anime Tour in November 2014, serving as a prequel to the television anime. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in March 2014 and released all 21 volumes between December 2014 and April 2018.
