'Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou' Creator Begins New Manga 'Joshi Koukousei no Nichijou'

Yasunobu Yamauchi, the creator of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou (The Daily Lives of High School Boys), began a new manga titled Joshi Koukousei no Nichijou (Daily Lives of High School Girls) on the Gangan Online web magazine on October 18. Yamauchi originally began the manga as a one-shot in the Spring 2008 issue of Fresh Gangan. The school comedy manga ran on the Gagan Online web magazine from May 2009 to September 2012. Square Enix published the seventh and final volume in December 2012. Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou has a cumulative 2.3 million copies of its volumes in circulation. Sunrise adapted the manga into a 12-episode television anime in Winter 2012. NIS America licensed the anime series in North America and released it on home video in August 2013. Hulu began streaming the anime in the US in October that year, followed by Funimation in April 2021. Vertical Comics licensed the manga in English in July 2019 and published the seventh and final volume in September 2021.
