'Dark Gathering' Second Season in Production
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kenichi Kondou's Dark Gathering manga announced a second season on Tuesday, revealing the main staff and a teaser visual (pictured).
Hiroshi Ikehata (Tonikaku Kawaii) is returning to helm the second season at OLM.
Produced by OLM, the 25-episode first season of the television anime aired in two consecutive cours from Summer 2023 to Fall 2023. HIDIVE streamed the anime with English subs and dubs.
Kondou began serializing the horror supernatural manga in Jump SQ. in March 2019. The series went on a four month hiatus in December 2024 to prepare for a new story arc and was resumed on April 4 this year. Shueisha published the 18th volume on August 4. Dark Gathering has a cumulative 2.5 million copies of its volume in circulation.
Viz Media licensed the manga for English release in October 2022 and published the 15th volume on September 2, with the 16th volume planned for a November 4 release.
