'Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!' Delays Broadcast to 2026

The official website of the Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!! (Go For It, Nakamura!) television anime series announced on Wednesday that the broadcast has been postponed to 2026 due to production circumstances. The anime was initially scheduled to premiere in 2025. Aoi Umeki (Poputepipikku) is directing as well as designing the characters at Drive. Yasuko Aoki (Studio Monad) (Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi) is handling the series composition and penning the script with Umeki. Ayana Tsujita (Momochi-san Chi no Ayakashi Ouji) is composing the music. The anime adapts Syundei's boys love manga which was serialized in Opera magazine from December 2014 to August 2016. The Motto Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!! (Go for It Again, Nakamura!) sequel began in the same magazine in June 2017. Akane Shinsha published the original manga and the sequel in May 2017 and August 2021, and released a new edition of each on August 16. The manga returned from hiatus in 2025 and is serializing on the Comiplex website. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both manga in English in 2017 and 2021. The first volume was released in July 2018, followed by the second volume in July 2022.
