'Hateshinaki Scarlet' Movie Announces Main Cast

The official website of the Hateshinaki Scarlet (Scarlet) movie revealed the main cast and key visual (pictured) on Friday. The original anime movie will premiere in Japanese theatres on November 21, and in US theaters on December 12. Actors Mana Ashida (Kaijuu no Kodomo) and Masaki Okada are starring as Scarlet and Hijiri, respectively. Original creator Mamoru Hosoda (Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki) is directing the movie and penning the script at Studio Chizu. Synopsis After losing her father and failing to take revenge, Princess Scarlet wakes up in the Land of the Dead—a strange and dangerous world where those without purpose disappear into the Void. To survive, she must face her enemy, fight through endless battles, and reach a place no one has ever seen.
