'Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome' Delays Airing to Spring 2026
The official website of the Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome (The Barbarian's Bride) television anime announced on Wednesday that the airing has been postponed from October 2025 to April 2026. The production committee cited further improving the quality of the work as the reason for delay.
Takayuki Tanaka (Blue Lock episode director) is helming the anime at Jumondo. Miya Asakawa (Shounen Onmyouji) is handling the series composition. Mayumi Fujita (Akuyaku Reijou Level 99 animation director) and Gen Hatakeyama (Hoshi no Samidare) are designing the characters. Alisa Okehazama (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) is composing the music.
The anime adapts Kotoba's comedy fantasy manga, which he originally posted on his Pixiv account in January 2019. Bessatsu Shounen Magazine began serializing the manga in January 2021. Kodansha published the ninth volume on April 9, with the tenth volume scheduled to be released on October 9.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English on May 15. The fourth volume shipped on August 12, with the fifth volume planned for a December 23 release. Kodansha's K Manga service also simultaneously publishes manga in English.
