'Horimiya' Creator Begins New Manga 'Koe no Furu Heya'

HERO, the creator of Horimiya, began a new manga series titled Koe no Furu Heya (Room Where Voices Fall) featuring illustrations by Tsutsuji Takahashi in the 35th issue of Big Comic Spirits on Monday. HERO serialized the original Hori-san to Miyamura-kun web manga on her official website Dokkai Ahen between February 2007 and December 2011. Daisuke Hagiwara drew Horimiya based on the original web manga in GFantasy from October 2011 to March 2021. Square Enix published the 17th and final volume in June 2023. Yen Press published the manga in English from October 2015 to October 2024. A 13-episode television anime adaptation by CloverWorks aired in Winter 2021. The Horimiya: Piece (Horimiya: The Missing Pieces) side story anime aired in 13 episodes in Summer 2023. Funimation and Crunchyroll streamed the anime with subtitles and dubs, respectively. Synopsis A soothing voice says "You've got this." In his one-bedroom apartment, that voice becomes a small source of comfort to face the next day. Itaru Kagurazaka, a corporate illustrator working long hours, lives alone in a soundproof apartment. One day, he suddenly gets a friend request from his former high school classmate, Fumiya Ouji, who claims that he's being stalked. Feeling he has no choice, Itaru lets him stay over.
