'Izure Saikyou no Renkinjutsushi?' Gets Second Anime Season

The official website of the Izure Saikyou no Renkinjutsushi? (Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time) television anime announced on Thursday that a second season is in production. The manga artist, Tarou Sasakama, drew an illustration to commemorate the announcement (pictured). Produced by Studio Comet, the first anime season aired in 12 episodes in Winter 2025. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with multiple subtitles and dubs. Izure Saikyou no Renkinjutsushi? adapts Maru Kogitsune's adventure fantasy light novel, which they began on the AlphaPolis website in August 2017. AlphaPolis published the first volume with illustrations by Hitogome in February 2018. The 18th volume went on sale on Friday, which also featured the second season announcement on its wraparound band. The series has a cumulative 1.7 million copies of its volumes in print. Tarou began serializing a manga adaptation on the AlphaPolis website in August 2018. The eighth volume was published in December 2024. AlphaPolis is releasing the manga digitally in English on its Alpha Manga app and published the first digital volume in March 2023. The seventh volume went on sale in December 2024.
