The official website for the television anime Monster Strike: Deadverse Reloaded revealed the main cast, theme songs, and the first teaser promotional video on Sunday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on October 21 at 11:00 p.m. on TOKYO MX and across 45 stations nationwide, as well as BS11 and AT-X, two special programs will broadcast on October 7 and October 14 in the same 11:00 p.m. timeslot as the series.
Japanese boy band, Da-iCE (One Piece) is performing the opening theme. Rapper YZERR is performing the ending theme.
Masao Ookubo (Shuumatsu no Walküre) is directing the anime at Yumeta Company, with Noriyuki Nakamura (Tensei Kizoku no Isekai Boukenroku director) as assistant director. Hayato Kazano (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e 2rd Season) and Jin Haganeya (Azur Lane) are in charge of the series composition and script. Kazumi Inadome (Metallic Rouge character animation director) is designing the characters. Music is being produced by Miracle Bus.
Developed by Mixi, Monster Strike was released under its brand XFLAG on iOS in Japan in September 2013 and on Android in December 2013. A North American version debuted in October 2014 but was discontinued in August 2017.
The first anime series debuted in 51 episodes from October 2015 to December 2016. A second season streamed in 23 episodes from April 2017 to September 2017, followed by the 13-episode third season, Kieyuku Uchuu-hen (The Fading Cosmos), from October 2017 to January 2018. A fourth series streamed in 63 episodes from July 2018 to December 2019.
The first anime movie, Hajimari no Basho e (To The Place of Beginnings), premiered in theatres in Japan in December 2016, serving as a prequel to the first net anime. The third and latest movie in the franchise, Lucifer - Zetsubou no Yoake, opened in Japan in November 2020.
