New 'High School! Kimengumi' TV Anime Reveals Supporting Cast
Cast: • Kai Undou: Yuusuke Kobayashi (Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan) • Ken Akiresu: Takuto Yokoyama (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta...) • Susumu Intahai: Masayuki Satou (Love All Play) • Yutaka Konjou: Shuya Watanabe (Kuroiwa Medaka ni Watashi no Kawaii ga Tsuujinai) • Chikara Suji: Ayumu Asakura (Shinmai Ossan Boukensha, Saikyou Party ni Shinu hodo Kitaerarete Muteki ni Naru.) • Kazuaki Seki (Ranma ½ (2024) opening sequence director) is helming the new anime at Seven. Shigeru Murakoshi (Zombieland Saga) is in charge of series composition, while Yuka Abe (Fire Force: Season 2 animation director) is designing the characters.

The official website for the new television anime adaptation of Motoei Shinzawa's High School! Kimengumi (High School! Funny-face Club) manga unveiled the supporting cast and a character visual (pictured) on Tuesday. The new anime will air on Fridays at 11:30 p.m. in Fuji TV's noitaminA programming block, starting January 2026. Shinzawa serialized the original 3-nen Kimengumi (Third Year Funny-face Club) manga in Weekly Shounen Jump from October 1980 to April 1982, followed by the High School! Kimengumi sequel manga in the same magazine from April 1982 to July 1987. Shueisha published the 20th and final volume in February 1988.
