The official website for the new Keroro Gunsou Movie revealed the main staff and a teaser trailer on July 2. The anime movie adapting Mine Yoshizaki's sci-fi comedy manga is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theatres in Summer 2026 Yoshizaki began drawing the manga in Shounen Ace in April 1999. Kadokawa published the 34th volume in August 2024. Tokyopop published the manga in English from March 2004 to May 2011. VIZ Media licensed the manga under its VIZ Select imprint for digital release in English in December 2014. Produced by Sunrise, the television anime adaptation of the manga aired in 358 episodes from April 2004 to April 2011. A short television anime inspired by the series aired in 23 episodes from March 2014 to September 2014. The first movie adaptation of the series premiered in Japan in March 2006, followed by Keroro Gunsou Movie 2 in 2007, Keroro Gunsou Movie 3 in 2008, Keroro Gunsou Movie 4 in 2009, and Keroro Gunsou Movie 5 in 2010.
