'Odd Taxi' Gets Compilation Movies in September 2025
The official website of the Odd Taxi anime series announced two compilation movies on Thursday. The movies are commemorating the upcoming release of Baku Kinoshita and Kazuya Konomoto's Housenka (The Last Blossom) anime movie.
The first movie compiles episodes 1 through 7, with the second movie featuring episodes 8 to 13. Both movies will screen in five theaters for a weekend, with the first movie screening on September 10 and 11, and the second on September 17 and 18.
OLM produced the 13-episode original anime in Spring 2021. Crunchyroll simulcasted the anime with multiple subtitles and dubs. A movie, subtitled In The Woods, opened in Japan in April 2022. Crunchyroll also streamed the movie with multiple subtitles.
Synopsis
Eccentric and blunt, the walrus Hiroshi Odokawa lives a relatively normal life. He drives a taxi for a living, and there he meets several unique individuals: the jobless Taichi Kabasawa who is dead-set on going viral, the mysterious nurse Miho Shirakawa, the struggling comedic duo "Homo Sapiens," and Dobu, a well-known delinquent.
