The official website for the anime movie adaptation of Kazuyoshi Takeda's Peleliu: Rakuen no Guernica (Peleliu: Guernica of Paradise) manga revealed the main cast, additional staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a trailer on Tuesday. The movie is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on December 5. Actors Rihito Itagaki and Tomoya Nakamura (Spy x Family Movie: Code: White) are starring as Hitoshi Tamaru and Yoshiki Keisuke, respectively. Gorou Kuji (Mato Seihei no Slave) is directing the anime at Shin-Ei Animation and Fugaku. Junji Nishimura (Nurarihyon no Mago) and Kazuyoshi Takeda are penning the script. Takeda serialized the military drama manga in Young Animal magazine from February 2016 to April 2021. Hakusensha released the 11th and final volume in July 2021. A spin-off manga by Takeda began in the same magazine in July 2022, with the fourth volume shipped on July 29. Trailer
