'Tongari Boushi no Atelier' Postpones Broadcast to 2026
The official website of the Tongari Boushi no Atelier (Witch Hat Atelier) television anime announced on Saturday that the broadcast has been postponed from 2025 to 2026. The production committee cited further improving the quality and to fully showcase the charm of the work as the reason for delay. Crunchyroll will stream the anime worldwide excluding Asia.
Ayumu Watanabe (Uchuu Kyoudai) is helming the anime adapting Kamome Shirahama's fantasy adventure manga at BUG FILMS. Kairi Unabara (Pokemon Evolutions) is designing the characters and Yuka Kitamura is composing the music.
Shirahama began drawing the manga in Morning Two magazine in July 2016. Kodansha published the 14th volume on April 23. Tongari Boushi no Atelier has a cumulative 6.5 million copies of its volumes in circulation.
Hiromi Satou began drawing the Tongari Boushi no Kitchen (Witch Hat Atelier Kitchen) spin-off manga in the same magazine in November 2019. Kodansha released the fifth volume in October 2022.
Kodansha USA licensed both the manga and spin-off in July 2018 and November 2022, respectively. The fifth spin-off manga volume was released in October 2024, and the 13th manga volume was published on January 14.
