Voice Actors Shizuka Ishigami and Kouhei Yanagi Announce Marriage and First Child

Voice actors Shizuka Ishigami and Kouhei Yanagi have announced their marriage and the birth of their first child on their respective social media accounts on Monday. In her post, Ishigami praised Yanagi's "caring nature", noting her wish to "spend the rest of their lives together". She states that she wishes to continue her work while keeping a close eye on her health. Yanagi mentions Ishigami's "gentle heart" and consideration for those around her in his post, celebrating this chance to "share his life with her." He states his desire to "work even harder at his job while also focusing on his family." Ishigami is best known for her roles as Stella Vermillion in Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry (Chivalry of a Failed Knight), Ayame Kajou in Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai (SHIMONETA: A Boring World Where the Concept of Dirty Jokes Doesn't Exist), and Ikumi Mito in Shokugeki no Souma (Food Wars). She also voices younger version of characters including Thorfinn in Vinland Saga, Bruno Bucciarati in JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind), James Moriarty in Yuukoku no Moriarty (Moriarty the Patriot), and Ken Ryuuguuji in Tokyo Revengers. Yanagi has played roles such as Tetsugoro in Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer) and Taku Kitase in Rhapsody. Both voice actors are starring in the Nukitashi the Animation television anime, which is premiering on July 19.
