The NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan's panel at Anime Expo 2025 revealed additional cast for the Yasei no Last Boss ga Arawareta (A Wild Last Boss Appeared!) television anime on Sunday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2025. Yuuya Horiuchi (Nijiyon Animation) is helming the anime at WAO World. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Black Clover) is handling the series composition and Maiko Ebisawa (Undead Unluck animation director) is designing the characters. Firehead began penning the action fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in October 2015. Earth Star Entertainment started publishing the series under its Earth Star Novel imprint in February 2016, featuring illustrations by YahaKo, and shipped the ninth and final volume in April 2019. Tsubasa Hazuki began drawing a manga adaptation in Comic Earth☆Star in June 2017. Earth Star Entertainment shipped the tenth volume on February 12. J-Novel Club licensed the light novel and manga in English for digital release in April 2020 and January 2021, respectively. The light novel's ninth and final volume was released in July 2022, and the sixth manga volume was released on June 18.
