The Aniplex Online Fest 2025 event revealed the main cast and a character promotional video for the television anime adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's Yomi no Tsugai (Daemons of the Shadow Realm) on Saturday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2026.
Masahiro Andou (Araburu Kisetsu no Otome-domo yo.) is directing the anime at Bones Film. Noboru Takagi (Golden Kamuy) is handling the series composition. Nobuhiro Arai (Bungou Stray Dogs) is designing the characters. Kenichiro Suehiro (Enen no Shouboutai) is composing the music.
Arakawa began serializing the action fantasy manga in Shounen Gangan magazine in December 2021. Square Enix published the ninth volume on March 12, with the tenth volume scheduled to go on sale on July 11.
Square Enix Manga & Books licensed the manga in English in July 2022. The eighth volume shipped on July 1, with the ninth volume planned for a December 9 release.
