The official website for the television anime adaptation of Rocket Shoukai and Nakashima723's Yuusha no Kuzu (Scum of the Brave) manga revealed the main staff and a teaser promotional video on Saturday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2026 on NTV. Rocket Shoukai originally penned the main story as a web novel on the Kakuyomu website from February to March in 2016. Kadokawa published the novel under its Kadokawa Books imprint in December that year, featuring illustrations by Yuuya Kusaka (Majutsushi Orphen). Nakashima723 originally self-published the manga on the web in June 2018 and released the first volume on the Kindle Indies Manga platform in November that year. Comic Border began serializing a manga adaptation in February 2022. LEED Publishing released the seventh volume on March 21. The first volume was released in English by comic translation engine Mantra Comics in March 2020. Manga Planet began publishing the chapters in English in May 2020.
