Staff: • Hiroyuki Takashima (The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: U149 assistant director) is helming the anime at Studio Kai, with assistant director Yoshitake Nakakouji (Senki Zesshou Symphogear XV action director). Kenta Ihara (Isekai Ojisan) is handling the series composition and script. Takeru Noda (Dandadan sub-character design) is designing the characters.Shunsuke Takizawa (Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo) is composing the music.

The official website of the Yuusha-kei ni Shosu: Choubatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku (Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004) television anime of unveiled an additional cast pair, staff, and a second promotional video on Saturday. The anime series adapting Shoukai Rocket's action fantasy light novel will air in January 2026. Voice actors Shouya Chiba (Paripi Koumei) and Youko Hikasa (Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku) are joining the cast as Jayce Partiract and Neely, respectively. Rocket originally began penning the novel on Kakuyomu website in October 2020. Kadokawa began publishing the title under its Dengeki no Shinbungei label with illustrations by Mephisto in September 2021. The seventh volume went on sale on January 17. Natsumi Inoue began serializing a manga adaptation in Dengeki Comic Regulus in March 2022. Kadokawa published the second volume in April 2024. Yen Press licensed the light novel in English in August 2023 and released the fourth volume on May 20. The fifth volume is planned for a December 9 release. Kadokawa publishes the manga adaptation in English on the BookWalker Global website. 2
